 items placed in the חצר המשכן, the מזבח & the כיור.
 
There was a third item in the חצר which
 is not mentioned anywhere

    ופעמוני זהב בתוכם סביב

 
 
אונקלוס פתצוה,רש"י and the רמב"ם  translate, "בתוכם"
” in between”.
The
פעמונים were placed between the רימונים.

אונקלוס פפקודי and the רמב"ן, translate  בתוכם
 “inside.”
The
פעמונים were placed inside the רימונים.

Since there were equal amounts of 
פעמונים as רימונים,
so why according to Rashi etc, does the Torah write to
place the
פעמונים between the רימונים and not the other
way, the
רימונים between the פעמונים?
 
R. Yosef Dov (Berel)  Soloveitchik zt”l
(Yerushalayim)
answered :
The 
רמב"ם (Klei Hamikdash 9:4) writes, first, to attach all
the
רימונים and afterward, we place the פעמונים.
 
The Rambam seems to be saying the Torah commanded us to
attach the
רימונים on, first, and only then do we attach the פעמונים.

The Rambam gets this Halacha that the 
רימונים should be attached
first, since the Torah writes the
פעמונים to be placed between the
רימונים and not the opposite.  
 
The 
פירוש הר המוריה (Friedberg Rambam) answers,
Being the
רימונים were made from 3 colors of wool, and
the
פעמונים were made from a single color (gold)
The
רימונים seemed to be more noticeable and prominent over
the single color 
פעמונים. Therefore it appeared  to the eye
that the
פעמונים were between the רימונים and not the רימונים
between the 
פעמונים.

 In the תורה, we find there were only two
 items in the חצר המשכן, the מזבח & the כיור.


 There was a third item* in the חצר which
 is not mentioned anywhere.

WHAT IS THE THIRD ITEM????

How can you have שעטנז in 100% linen?

 

How can you have שעטנז in 100% linen?

In the סליחות למוסף יו"כ*, it states "כתנת ארוגה פשתים וצמר".
The כתנת of the כהן גדול was שעטנז and serves as a כפרה
for the sin of planting כלאים.

However, an apparent question arises: the כתנת contained
no wool, it was crafted entirely from linen. How then, could
it be שעטנז?

The חתם סופר cites Hachcham Wolf Heidenheim, explaining
the פייטן with a Halacha in רמ"א. If an individual wears two pieces
of clothing, one made of wool and the other of linen, and the lower
garment cannot be removed without first taking off the upper one,
then this constitutes שעטנז.

The כהן גדול wore a מעיל תכלת (wool) over the כתנת (linen). This
would be considered שעטנז.


In most Ashkenaz communities, they have additional Selichos during the daytime.
The כהן גדול was permitted to wear שעטנז

Why the golden Bekeshe & fancy heavy fur coat?


Why is it that the many Chasidic Rebbes dress fancy
colored Bekeshes, Shtreimels & fur-lined coats, whereas
the Roshei Yeshivohs wear a plain Frak (long coat) & plain
hats?
This question was asked from the
נצי"ב and he answered,
That this Minhag goes back in history a long time ago

כלל ישראל had two leaders one in תורה and one in עבודה
We don't find
משה רבינו who represents תורה to have any
special clothing. Whereas
אהרן ובניו הכהנים who represent
עבודה had to wear special בגדי כהונה

The Major Mistake

THE MAJOR MISTAKE IN THE תורה תמימה חומש

On the Pasuk ונשמע קולו בבואו אל הקודש the תורה תמימה quotes a ירושלמי as follows יבוא קול  ויכפר על קול ההורג נפש בשגגה                

(The sound of the bells of the Kohen Gadol's מעיל should be מכפר for the person who kills.)

In the footnotes, the T.T.  comes up with a silly explanation.

The תורה תמימה mistakenly combined two sentences as one יבוא קול ויכפר על קול ההורג נפש בשגגה and ended up with a totally wrong Pshat

                       THE CORRECT PSHAT:

The ירושלמי says two עבירות, Loshon Hora & murder had no כפרה until the Torah established a כפרה for them

1) For  Loshon Hora, יבוא קול ויכפר על קול The sound of the bells should be מכפר the sin of  Loshon Hora (stop)

2) For ההורג נפש (new sentence) One who killed  the death of a Kohen Gadol will be מכפר

There is no such thing as קול ההורג נפש

Not everybody, but almost all have the Wrong Teitch

Even Artscroll incorrectly translated ואתה תצוה "You SHALL command"

                                
 You shall command-דוא זאלסט באפעלען -WRONG


 You will command-דוא וועסט באפעלען  - CORRECT

Rashi in Parshas (אמור (כ"ד:ב translates,ואתה תצוה
"You WILL command"  (prediction)


In this week's Parsha, Hashem is predicting to Moishe that
he will command the בני ישראל  in the future.
Hashem is not commanding Moishe to command the בני ישראל

The Parsha Matzav -PARSHAS TETZAVE


Parshas Hashavua
ויקחו אליך שמן זית 

 
The Midrash Rabbah (תצוה ל"ו) says that 
"the same way as oil will always float on top of all משקין (liquids) in the world so too the בני ישראל when they do the will of Hashem they will always be on top of all the nations".

The מחצית השקל ס' ער"ב quotes from the ספר ידי משה who quotes from a גדול אחד that liquor (alcohol) is not considered משקין.
 His proof is from this Midrash that oil will always float on top of all משקין  Oil will mix with alcohol and doesn't float on top of alcohol.
Therefore we must assume that alcohol is not a liquid (משקין)

If this were to be true, then you would not be allowed to make Kiddush on liquor (perhaps no  ברכה ראשונה as well) since Kiddush has to be made on wine/חמר מדינה -  liquid or food (משקין או פת)

However, since we have a כלל (rule) of אין למדין הלכה מפי אגדה We can not learn Halacha from Agadah. Therefore, this won't be a reason to create a problem of making Kiddush on liquor.
