R.Moishe Kubriner zt"l  told this story.

"When R.Baruch Mezhbizh zt"l once met the Shpoler Zaida zt"l, he asked him how is it possible for a simple Yid like you (before becoming a Rebbe the Shpoler Zaida was a simple Melamed & no special Yichus) to become such a great Rebbe".

The Shpoler Zaida answered him "It definitely is possible. When a simple farmer has 50 סאה of wheat he takes off 1 סאה he makes it Teruma it becomes קדש that a זר may not eat it. So too when simple Chasidim appoint a Rebbe they turn him into

a holy man. R. Baruch responded that a חרש שוטה וקטן can't be Mafrish Terumah so too only normal Chasidim can appoint

a Rebbe but not a חסיד שוטה." 

The Kozhnitzer Magid was asked, "Why is it that the Barditchver (Kedushas Levi) who is such  a very holy man 

yet so poor and the other Rebbe who is not as holy but  is  a rich man?"

The Magid answered "it's very simple it all depends on the Chasidim the Rebbe has. The  Barditchver's Chasidim come for Brachos in רוחניות and the Rebbe is מתפלל בעד חבירו therefore he is נענה תחילה and keeps growing in רוחניות.

The rich Rebbe, his Chasidim ask for a Bracha in Parnasah so the Rebbe is  מתפלל בעד חבירו and is נענה תחילה by

becoming rich."

Daf Hashavua - Parshas Hashavua  משפטים      -     ברכות מ"ה ע"ב   1) One of the 5 תשלומין a מזיק pays the ניזק, is בושת 2) One who didn't participate in the meal, if he hears the מזמן says נברך (אלוהינו) שאכלנו משלו he should answer ברוך (אלוהינו) ומבורך שמו תמיד לעולם ועד* The סימן to memorize the Nusach is "בושת לו" נוסח שו"ע או"ח קצח*

ברכות מ"ג ע"ב אומר שלא חיסר בעולמו כלום In the year 1725 the רז"ה (R. Shlomo Zalmen Hena)   printed  the "Siddur בית תפלה” with his Pirush “שערי תפלה”. The Siddur has a הסכמה from the חכם צבי and other Gedolim. The רז"ה  was one of the greatest בעלי דקדוק. The פרי מגדים refers to him as "הרב המדקדק הגדול” (O. Ch. 56) It is said that the Vilna Gaon acquired his knowledge in Dikduk from the Seforim of the רז"ה. In the Siddur of the רז"ה, he corrected and changed the נוסח wherever the Dikduk was incorrect. He also changed words from (לשון חז"ל (כלום to (לשון תנ"ך (דבר Most of the changes in the סידור בעל התניא are supposedly based on the Rezah’s  Siddur “בית תפלה”. The רז"ה was probably the first person to tamper with the נוסח התפלה. He held that Dikduk overrides the נוסח established by the Anshei Knesses Hagedola. The יעבץ (R. Yakov Emden ) criticized him strongly. He published a Sefer (לוח ארס) pointing out all the mistakes of the רז"ה. The יעבץ in hisהקדמה writes “It is unbelievable what he(רז"ה) did. He destroyed and broke fences, moved into territory that doesn’t belong to him and there he destroyed and built without permission. He made changes whenever he felt like it. He had the העזה (Chutzpa) to tamper with the נוסח of the Anshei Knesses Hagedola”. The יעבץ also claimed that the הסכמה from the חכם צבי was forged, to make a great name for himself (רז"ה). (R. Dovid Yitzchaki claimed the other הסכמות were also forged.) R. Mordechai Duseldorff wrote a Kunteres (קונטרס ההשגות) with 192 proofs against the רז"ה.  The Kunteres has a הסכמה from the נודע ביהודה. It was none other but the רז"ה who changed the נוסח of ברכת האלנות from “  (שלא חסר בעולמו כלום (לשון חז"ל  to (שלא חסר בעולמו דבר (לשון תנ"ך The (שו"ת מנחת יצחק (10 – 16  criticizes the  Siddurim  printers for changing the Nusach of the גמרא,  רמבם שלחן ערוך & all the Poskim from כלום to דבר.

Daf Yomi Brachos 44b חד גדיא דזבין אבא בתרי זוזי TWO ZUZIM FOR A GOAT, IS IT A FAIR PRICE OR​ OVERPRICED? My nephew Harav Hagaon R. Yitzchok Meir Goldstein Shlita (מחבר ספרי שפתי יצחק ועוד) writes in his Haggadah,  that the Gemoro says, א"ר חסדא אפילו גדיא בר זוזא Rashi explains שמן וטוב ששוה זוז       From this Rashi, we see that a good & fat  goat is worth only one Zuz The buyer paid double the amount for his goat, way overpriced. Probably before Pesach, there was price gouging.

The שו"ת כתב סופר (O.Ch.24) writes that
R. Mordechai Benet zt"l made a
שהכל on food or drink before smoking and
had in mind to be מוציא the smokes.

The שלחן הטהר (R. Izak Kamarna zt"l)
writes "We don't make a ברכה on smoking
because in the times of the גמרא there
was no such thing as smoking. We can't make
up a ברכה on our own.

However, the Ba'al Shem Tov did make the Bracha
before smoking. because the proper ברכה for smoking
was given over to him by אליהו הנביא and his Rebbi
אחיה השילוני.
Since then it was forgotten and the proper ברכה is
unknown to us

How to cook Shabbos morning, fresh chicken soup      1) One may not cook with תולדות חמה. e.g. Cooking an egg in a pot that was heated up by the sun. (egg heated by the pot) 2) One may cook with חמה e.g. Placing an egg under the sun. (egg heated directly from the sun) *According to Mori V'Rabi Harav Hagaon R. Shlomo Miller Shlita, One may place food under the sun and have a magnifying glass directed at the food (not at the pot). Since the food is being cooked directly from the sun it's בישול בחמה which is permissible on Shabbos. Daf Hashavua & Parshas Hashavua Brachos 39b Parshas Yisro זכור את יום השבת לקדשו אמר ר' אבא ובשבת חייב אדם לבצוע על ב' ככרות מ"ט לחם משנה כתיב There is a Machlokes Rishonim if מן fell on Yom Tov. We hold that it didn't fall on Yom Tov, therefore we are required to have לחם משנה on Yom Tov. In the first Teshuva of R. Akiva Eiger, he writes that women are not מחוייב in עונג יו"ט and may fast on Yom Tov being it is a מצוות עשה שהזמן גרמא Therefore. if they forgot יעלה ויבא in Bentching they don't need to repeat the Bentching. The ר' תם writes that women need to eat 3 סעודות and have לחם משנה because they too benefited from the נס of the מן. According to ר' תם, women would need to eat and have  לחם משנה on Yom Tov as well for the same reason of שאף הן היו בנס המן. We must assume that ר' עקיבא איגר will hold like the ר"ן who argues on the ר' תם and holds that the only reason women need to eat on Shabbos 3 סעודות and have לחם משנה is because of זכור ושמור. All (women as well) who are commanded on שמור, the לא תעשה are also commanded on זכור, the מצוות עשה. This would only apply on Shabbos where it says זכור ושמור. and not on Yom Tov. According to the ר"ן & ר' עקיבא איגר women have no מצוות עונג יו"ט and may fast on Yom Tov.

 "The words of the Chasam Sofer are accepted as הלכה למעשה regardless if he wrote it in the Teshuvos or  in the Chidushim* on Shas".

*For other Poskim, if written in their Chidushim  on

DAF HASHAVUA (Brachos 35b), In the near future*, Kollel Yungerleit will have  to go out to work to be מקיים the מצוה of ואספת דגנך", הנהג בהן מנהג דרך ארץ". According to the Chasam Sofer*, The מצוה דאורייתא of ישוב ארץ ישראל is נוהג בזמן הזה when the majority of Bnei Yisroel live in Eretz Yisroel.  Part of the Mitzvah is, working the fields and growing the holy fruits. By doing so we are מקיים the מצוה of ישוב ארץ ישראל. R. Yishmael says there is a Mitzvah of ואספת דגנך The Torah commands us הנהג בהן מנהג דרך ארץ The same way one can not say he has no time to put on Tefillin because he is busy learning Torah, so too one can not say I am busy learning Torah and have no time to gather the grain, etc..          מצות ישיבת ארץ ישראל =  BUTCHERS & BAKERS - PLUMBERS & ELECTRICIANS-DOCTORS & LAWYERS (Perhaps even soldiers חרד"ק בלע"ז) The Ch.Sofer adds,  "perhaps, other trades that benefit and are necessary for mankind are also part of the Mitzvah of ואספת דגנך (הנהג בהן מנהג דרך ארץ) and Mitzvahs ישוב ארץ ישראל " *As soon as the majority of Yidden live in E.Y. **חידושים מסכת סוכה ל"ו ע"א
