Yitzchok Meir Goldstein Shlita (מחבר ספרי שפתי יצחק ועוד) writes in his Haggadah, that the Gemoro says, א"ר חסדא אפילו גדיא בר זוזא Rashi explains שמן וטוב ששוה זוז From this Rashi, we see that a good & fat goat is worth only one Zuz The buyer paid double the amount for his goat, way overpriced. Probably before Pesach, there was price gouging. |
