After the mothers were switched, יהוסף lost the ה and became יוסף and דין received that ה and became דינה ---- Actually, the טיב גטין doesn't quote this from an unknown מקובל but quotes this from his Mechuten הרב לוי יצחק מברדיטשוב זצ"ל. In all probability, the Chasam Sofer never heard of the קדושת לוי and therefore refers to him as  an unknown מקובל אחד. This Shtikel תורה is very unique. All three names mentioned (R. Levi Yitzchok Barditchev - R.Efraim Zalman Margolis- טיב גטין & The Chasam Sofer)  were all Niftar on כ"ה תשרי

the Holocaust

 Years before the Holocaust, there were very few Gedolim who

foresaw what was coming, in order to advise their flock what
action to take to save themselves from the upcoming Churban.

Most of the Gedolim did not foresee the future and as a result,
gave bad advice, or at best had no advice to give until it
was too late.

from now, 20% of Yeshivish /Heimish girls will never get married
and will remain עגונות for the rest of their lives. 

Twenty percent of future generations are being  ח"ו wiped out

In addition to that, there is and will be an increase in unhappy
marriages & divorces due to the fact that girls have to settle for
anything that comes their way in dates.

Daf Hasavua Nedarim 31 b-Mila On Shabbos

Harav Yosef Sholom Elyashuv zt"l originally held that children born through artificial insemination may not have their Bris done on Shabbos.

In later years he changed his mind and allowed the Bris to be Doche Shabbos on such children.

Harav Ezriel Auerbach shlita explained his Shver as follows:

Based on a Rabbeinu Chananel, artificial insemination is considered Ma'aseh Nissim and therefore would not be  Doche Shabbos.

Since artificial insemination became a very common practice, it is no longer considered Ma'aseh Nissim and is Doche Shabbos.

I was wondering, recently a 60 year old woman gave birth to a boy. What would have happened had she given birth on Shabbos, would it be allowed to perform the Bris on Shabbos. (Ma"aseh Nissim).

The טור (O.Ch. 428) writes, ”תשרי is always a full month (30 days) and טבת is always a missing (short) month (29days)

 

The months alternate one month is full and the following is short.

The months of חשון & כסלו are exceptions. Some years both months are full. (שנה שלמה ). Some years both months are short (חסרה) and some years one is full and the other is short (כסדרה)“

 

The reason for this is to equalize the months. A lunar cycle is 29 days+12 hours+ 793 חלקים (Approx. ¾ hr.)
A year can have 353- 354- or 355 days

 

The לבוש explains why חז"ל picked חשון & כסלו to change the system of alternating full and short months. and not any other month.

 

“The first opportunity we have to add or subtract from the month is on the month of חשון.

We can’t do it on ניסן & אייר because the 50^th day of ספירה needs to be on the 6^th of סיון. (by adding or subtracting a day  we will have it on the 5^th or the 7^th )

 

From שבועות till יום כיפור we need to have 3x 40 days to commemorate the 3x 40 days from משה רבינו standing on the mountain (שבועות) to bringing down the לוחות on
יום כיפור.

 

חדש תשרי is the king of the חדשים and the Month with Yomim Tovim (ירח האתנים )  we can’t make it a חסר.

 

Therefore, the first opportune time is in the month of חשון.

PARSHAS HASHAVUA - TOLDOS                        ריח בני כריח שדה (תוספות (תענית כ"ט ע"ב quotes the יש מפרשים that יעקב smelled like an אתרוג. The מהרש"א attempts to explain, that since the fruit of the עץ הדעת was an אתרוג, (according to one שיטה)  perhaps that was also the same smell of גן עדן that יצחק smelled on יעקב. The Minhag of Gedolei Yisrael both male & female is to wear nice-smelling perfumes. Perhaps, they had Esrog perfume and wanted to smell like גן עדן אמבצי
