DAF YOMI & PARSHAS HASHAVUA ראש השנה י"א ע"א  פרשת וירא   מאת אבי מורי ר' צבי יהודה פרידמן ע"ה            "*למועד אשר דבר אתו אלוהים"    Rashi says: The מלאך made a scratch on the wall and said that he will return the following year when the sun will be at the exact same spot and שרה will have a child.   The מלאכים visited אברהם the first day of פסח. יצחק was born the following year on the first day of פסח.    Question:                 The timing is off by 11 days!   It takes 365 days for the sun to return to the same spot. (solar year). From פסח to פסח the following year is only 354 days.   When the sun returned to the same spot it was 11 days  after Yitzchok’s birth.   Answer:

DAF YOMI  ראש השנה י"א ע"א  אומר שלא חיסר מעולמו כלום In the year 1725 the רז"ה (R. Shlomo Zalmen Hena)   printed   the "Siddur בית תפלה” with his Pirush “שערי תפלה”. The Siddur has a הסכמה from the חכם צבי and other Gedolim. The רז"ה  was one of the greatest בעלי דקדוק. The פרי מגדים refers to him as "הרב המדקדק הגדול” (O. Ch. 56) It is said that the Vilna Gaon acquired his knowledge in Dikduk from the Seforim of the רז"ה. In the Siddur of the רז"ה, he corrected and changed the נוסח wherever the Dikduk was incorrect. He also changed words from (לשון חז"ל (כלום to (לשון תנ"ך (דבר Most of the changes in the סידור בעל התניא are supposedly based on the Rezah’s  Siddur “בית תפלה”.   The רז"ה was probably the first person to tamper with the נוסח התפלה. He held that Dikduk overrides the נוסח established by the Anshei Knesses Hagedola. The יעבץ (R. Yakov Emden ) criticized him strongly. He published a Sefer (לוח ארס) pointing out all the mistakes of the רז"ה. The יעבץ in hisהקדמה writes “It is unbelievable what he(רז"ה) did. He destroyed and broke fences, moved into territory that doesn’t belong to him and there he destroyed and built without permission. He made changes whenever he felt like it. He had the העזה (Chutzpa) to tamper with the נוסח of the Anshei Knesses Hagedola”. The יעבץ also claimed that the הסכמה from the חכם צבי was forged, to make a great name for himself (רז"ה). (R. Dovid Yitzchaki claimed the other הסכמות were also forged.) R. Mordechai Duseldorff wrote a Kunteres (קונטרס ההשגות) with 192 proofs against the רז"ה.  The Kunteres has a הסכמה from the נודע ביהודה. It was  the רז"ה who changed the נוסח of ברכת האלנות from “  (שלא חסר בעולמו כלום (לשון חז"ל  to  (שלא חסר בעולמו דבר (לשון תנ"ך  The (שו"ת מנחת יצחק (10 – 16  criticizes the  Siddurim  printers for changing the Nusach of the גמרא,  רמבם שלחן ערוך & all the Poskim  from כלום to דבר.

The Gemoro Rosh Hashana 11a says:  חדש זיו is the month of אייר.  The reason it is called זיו is that the אבות were  born in ניסן.  By the time the month of זיו (Iyar)  arrived all the אבות were already born. (see Rashi)  The רמ"א(E.H. 126:6 )writes: “Since there is a   מחלוקת how to spell  אייר   (if 1 or 2 Yuds) therefore we try to refrain from writing גיטין, the entire month.” ר' עקיבא איגר quotes  the ילקוט with the ראשי תיבות of אברהם, יצחק ,יעקב ,רחל and they are the סוד המרכבה (From the ילקוט we see that the spelling of אייר is with 2 Yuds.) A possible explanation on the סוד המרכבה The אלשיך in Parshas ויחי writes:  " The מרכבה requires to have all three אבות both  אברהם יצחק & יעקב (two yuds) Hence, this explains why the ראשי תיבות of אייר is the סוד המרכבה  אמבצי

Possible explanation of the סוד המרכבה

 The Gemoro Rosh Hashana 11a says:

Chodesh זיו is the month of אייר. The reason it is called Ziv , is because the Avos were born in Nissan.

By the time the month of Ziv (Iyar) arrived all the Avos were already born . (see Rashi) 

The Rema (E.H. 126:6 ) writes:

“Since there is a Machlokehs how to spell  אייר   (if 1  or 2 Yuds) we try to refrain from writing Gittin, the entire month .”

Reb Akiva Eiger quotes  the Yalkut with the ראשי תיבות of אברהם, יצחק ,יעקב ,רחל 

From the ילקוט we see that the spelling of אייר is with 2 Yuds.

The אלשיך in Parshas ויחי writes " the Merkava requires to 

have all three אבות both Yitzchok & Yakov (two yuds)

Hence, this explains why the ראשי תיבות  of  of אייר 

is the סוד המרכבה
