On Yom Kippur, we say ברוך שם כבוד מלכותו לעולם ועד
aloud, to imitate the מלאכים.
According to the שו"ע הרב, in order to imitate מלאכים,
בשכמל"ו needs also to be said in a standing
position*.
*Yom Kippur is the only day in the year when one may stand up to say קריאת שמע
