The Black Sabbath Yizkor Services Shu"t Chasam Sofer (O.Ch. 159) writes, "There is great mourning, especially in the lands of אשכנז. They are מחמיר on the Shabbos before שבועות like we are מחמיר the Shabbos before תשעה באב." In Ashkenaz Kehillos,  the שבת before שבועות was called "Der Schwartze Shabbos"  יזכור was said for the murdered Yidden going back to גזירת תתנ"ו (Crusades) and for all the killings since then. They also said יזכור for  the גדולים-תלמידי חכמים of the city. In most קהילות אשכנז the אב הרחמים was said only twice a year on the Schwartze Shabbos (Bamidbar) & שבת חזון. When the חזן recited the אב הרחמים the entire congregation had to rise and say along quietly.   The original נוסח before the censors corrupted it was --וינקום בימינו לענינו נקמת דם עבדיך יהי רצון מלפניך May it be Hashem's will to take immediate revenge in our days, right before our eyes, on all the רשעים הרוצחים and all their sympathizers. אמכי"ר
