were buried in a separate area in the Bais Hachayim.

The Shu”t Malkieil (2:132) writes the reason for it

is , "we find in the Gemoro (Shabbos 118b) R.Yosi said

on himself ,he wishes to die on the way to do a

Mitzvah. Women while giving birth is like on the way

to a Mitzvah. They are on a higher Madreiga than

the rest and need to be buried separately."

Perhaps, this will be an additional reason, Rochel was

buried separately, because she was at a different

Madreiga than the other Imahos by dying 

during childbirth     אמבצי) )

The reason a mother who gave birth is called a   חיה

Because it was very common to die during childbirth

and she survived ,she is called the live one.

Chasam Sofer's דרשה after the epidemic was over The Chasam Sofer writes, His Yeshivah kept going for 40 years without any interruption until he became sick. When he finally recovered from his illness, the cholera epidemic set in and caused his Talmidim to be chased away and scattered all over. They couldn't find a place to rest. There was a total lockdown. All the roads were closed and no one could come or go.   It seems, that in the times of the Chasam Sofer, Yidden were still in גלות.

I Q: Is the Mamme רחל's Yahrzeit on the 11th of מרחשון*?     A:   Not according to the פסיקתא רבתי, or רש"י. The  Pesikta writes רחל died between Pesach & Shavuos (summer) when the ground is dry. Rashi Breishis 48:7 agrees with the Pesikta. Rashi writes רחל died in the dry season (summer) ילקוט שמעוני*

and were killed by משה רבינו.  

4) According to the Seder Hadoros, חירם מלך צור
is חירם העדלומי. (Yehudah ben Yakov's father in law)

Everybody (almost) has it wrong

 

There are hundreds of words we pronounce incorrectly in Davening, learning etc. Harav Hagaon R. Moishe Feinstein zt"l* defends  the masses who mispronounce words in קריאת שמע. R. Moishe claims that a corrupt language which is spoken by many turns into a language of its own. It's not לשון הקדש but תפילה וקריאת שמע may be done in any language. (There are other Poskim who are not as lenient) a few examples:    דור הפלגה It is not Dor Haflogah but Dor Hapalogoh  Haflagah = distance . וסת הפלגה, The time (distance) between the 1st and 2nd וסת A boat leaving shore (distancing) מפליג בספינה Hapalogoh = dividing, breaking up, halving  פכים קטנים- small jugs (plural) The correct pronunciation is Pakim (with a kaf) not Pachim (with a chaf) unlike פחים with a ח (Ches) (cans tin)  משנה ברורה The correct pronunciation is Mishna Verurah and not Berurah the same as שפה ברורה is  not pronounced Berurah but Verurah. אג"מ ח"ה:ד

This is based on the משנה ברורה רס"ח ס"ק י"ט who writes 
"If ויכולו wasn't said with the ציבור then at least it should be 
said with a second person".

Who is she

 

WHO IS לילית? According to the Zohar, אדם הראשון had a first wife. She was created from the germs of the earth. She rebelled against אדם and ran away because she wanted to be equal to him. (first women's libber) She turned into a demon (שדה) who tries killing newborns. Hence the old Minhag of hanging up a "שיר המעלות" in the room of the mother & baby.  לילית promised to Eliyahu Hanavi, not to harm in a place where her names are on display. The שלה"ק writes that on the night before the Bris, special protection is needed and therefore the father should stay up all night and learn Torah.

IS THIS A JOKE?

Someone wrote in one of the Torah journals
(הדרום ניסן תשכ"ה) that this must be a joke. Some
prankster must have added it to the בעל הטורים.
He claims it is a Mitzvah to erase this quote
from the בעל הטורים.

The truth is this quote was not added by a
prankster. The original כתבי יד (manuscripts)
still exists and it says so clearly.

Also the Chofetz Chaim in שם עולם**quotes the
exact quote in the name of the Midrash. 

הקפות CONTROVERSY

 

הקפות CONTROVERSY In שלחן ערוך Hl. Shabbos & in Hl. YomTov the מחבר writes ולא מרקדין  one may not dance on Shabbos/YomTov. The רמ"א writes the reason we do not protest against the dancers  on Shabbos,  because מוטב שיהו שוגגין- and also today the reason for the גזירה is not so prevalent . הקפות (even without dancing) on Simchas Torah is not mentioned in טור  or שלחן ערוך. It is, the רמ"א, who writes about the מנהג of הקפות, but there is no mention of dancing. The משנה ברורה quotes the מהרי"ק , based on רב האי גאון, the מנהג of dancing on Simchas Torah. ר' האי גאון was מתיר dancing on Simchas Torah being it is the second day Yom Tov (דרבנן) (the מ"ב doesn’t mention 1st reason) and it’s done לכבוד the Torah. In Frankfurt the Minhag of הקפות was first introduced by R.S.R. Hirsch zt”l. Until then הקפות  on Simchas Torah was unheard of. One of the Gedolim in his times, R. Zalman Geiger zt”l protested poetically (Note the rhyme, wit and wisdom) against   this Polish* Minhag of הקפות*  רמ"א* (Cracow)

YOU GOT TO BE HAPPY No other Mitzvah do we say מצטער is פטור  except for מצות סוכה. Mori V'Rabi Harav Hagaon R. Shlomo Miller Shlita said the reason for this is, since it is זמן שמחתינו the Torah didn't want us to be מצטער during our זמן שמחתינו ואני הקטן הוספתי                מצטער פטור מן הסוכה and also סוכה פטור מן המצטער The Yom Tov of סוכה makes us פטור from צער. This coming סוכות will be pain-free פטור מן המצטער. All the צרות & צער of כלל ישראל will end abruptly.  The ישועות ורפואות will  אי"ה arrive כהרף עין and we will all have a true זמן שמחתינו אמן כן יהי רצון
