The Likutei Chover ben Chaim writes , he heard from his Rebbe the Chasam Sofer,
Zimri ben Solu’s name was Shlumiel ben Tzurishadoi.
Why was he named Shlumiel
?
The Midrash says that 12 nisim happened to Pinchas which
enabled him to kill Zimri.
Wasn’t he a Shlumiel that all the 12 things, happened and he ended
up killed.
