What a blessing!

Shidduch crisis in times of אברהם אבינו & רמב"ם

"וה' ברך את אברהם בכל" — "And Hashem blessed Avraham with everything."
R' Meir says: This means that he had no daughter.

The כתב סופר (חיי שרה) writes that in a letter, the רמב"ם mentioned that his white hair came from the worries he endured while trying to find a suitable shidduch for his daughter — someone appropriate for their family.

The רמב"ן similarly explains that had אברהם אבינו had a daughter, he would have been distressed over whom to marry her off to.

The כתב סופר concludes that despite Avraham's great wealth and status, it was truly a ברכה that he had no daughter — sparing him the worry and burden of finding her a fitting shidduch.
