Don't forget to make Kiddush on Yom Kippur
ר' עקיבא איגר who holds it is only a מצוה דרבנן unless it falls
on a Shabbos and the חתם סופר (הגהות O.Ch.271) who
holds it is a מצוה דאורייתא to make Kiddush every
Yom Kippur. (even weekdays)
If it is a מצוה דאורייתא, one must have כוונה in the
שמונה עשרה on Yom Kippur night when saying
ברוך אתה ה' – מקדש ישראל ויום הכפורים
to be מקיים (Yotzei) מצות קידוש.
שבת יו"כ everybody agrees that it is
a מצוה דאורייתא and one needs to have כוונה to
be יוצא
