Riddle

Parshas Hashavua
讻讬 转爪讗

 RIDDLE

a) Because the meat he ate was 讟专讬驻讛, he won't      get killed

b) Because the meat he ate was at a party with      music he won't get killed.
?

The 专诪讘"诐 (诪诪专讬诐 7:2) rules that a 讘谉 住讜专专 讜诪讜专讛 is exempt from the death penalty if the meat he consumes is either:

  • 讗讻讬诇转 注讘讬专讛 →eg: eating non-kosher meat.

  • 讗讻讬诇转 诪爪讜讛 →eg:  eating at a 住注讜讚转 诪爪讜讛.

The 专诪"讗 (O.C. 670:2) writes that 讝诪讬专讜转 讜转砖讘讞讜转 (songs of praise) transform a Chanukah party from a mere 住注讜讚转 专砖讜转 into a 住注讜讚转 诪爪讜讛.

The Mishnah Verurah (住"拽 讞) adds that even a wedding of an 注诐 讛讗专抓 to a 讘转 转诇诪讬讚 讞讻诐 is considered only a 住注讜讚转 专砖讜转—unless they include 讝诪讬专讜转 讜转砖讘讞讜转, which elevate it to a 住注讜讚转 诪爪讜讛.

Hence:
A 讘谉 住讜专专 讜诪讜专讛 who ate the meat at a Chanukah party accompanied by singing (讝诪讬专讜转 讜转砖讘讞讜转), or he ate 讟专讬驻讛 meat, he would not be 讞讬讬讘 诪讬转讛.
