How To Love

Parshas Hashavua ואתחנן                                                   ואהבת את ה' אלוקיך                                                                           HOW DO YOU LOVE HASHEM? - שיהא שם שמים מתאהב על ידך--  אבל מי שקורא ושונה--ואין דבורו בנחת עם *הבריות , מה הבריות אומרות אליו, או לו לפלוני שלמד תורה או לו לאביו--      או לו לרבו-- כמה מקולקלין מעשיו וכמה מכוערין דרכיו וכו' (יומא פ"ו ע"א)  Israeli citizens including the Chareidim have the full right to demonstrate against the Zionist State. Unlike the non-Frum demonstrators, the Frum לומדי תורה demonstrators must conduct themselves appropriately. This includes not calling the police "Nazim", or obstructing traffic illegally, etc.) The לומדי תורה have the  responsibility to LOVE HASHEM by making sure that  no one will say או לו לפלוני שלמד תורה "Woe is to this person who learned Torah "וכמה מכוערין דרכיו "and how ugly are his ways".
