Parshas Shelach Riddle

 

The בעל התניא was asked as a child, "Which פסוק in the תורה ends with the same three words it starts with?" He cleverly answered, " The פסוק that has no אמת in it." אֲנִ֞י ה' אֱלֹֽקיכֶ֗ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר הוֹצֵ֤אתִי אֶתְכֶם֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם לִֽהְי֥וֹת לָכֶ֖ם לֵֽאלֹקים אֲנִ֖י ה' אֱלֹֽקיכֶֽם: It is only in Davening that we add the word אמת The פסוק in the תורה has not the word אמת in it.
