Parshas Hashavua בלק          Non-Monetary Contributors wanted ויאמר מי האנשים האלה עמך” במדבר כ"ב :ט “   Hashem asked בלעם: ” Who are these people with you?.” The רבינו בחיי writes, "We don’t find anywhere in תנ"ך, Hashem asking questions except when he does so to רשעים, to fool them (as if he doesn't know ch"v) and then he can destroy them.  That’s  also the reason why Hashem asked קין, ” איה הבל אחיך”. ע"כ ר' בחיי What about when Hashem asked,  1) Adam- איכה, (Breishis 3-9) 2) Moshe – מה זה בידך, (Shmos 4-2) 3) Eliyahu - מה לך פה אליהו (Melochim 1- 19 -9) I have no answer, contributors with the answer are more than welcome.
