According
to the מגן אברהם תקנ"ו Tisha B'av
on Motzei Shabbos, one should refrain from smelling בשמים.
It's
a תענוג (pleasure) to wean off the נשמה יתירה, Yet in the
daytime, one may smell בשמים .*
*The
Gaon and others argue & hold even during the daytime one may not smell בשמים.
