The following story was
told by the Klausenburg Rebbe Zt"l at one of his famous Chumash Rashi
Shiur.
The Yismach Moshe told his
Einikel the Yeitav Lev Zt"l how he still has a clear memory of his
previous
Gilgul as one of the Yotzei
Mitzrayim.
The Yismach Moshe described the
Machlokes of Korach that there were 3 groups 1) pro-Moshe Rabbeinu 2)
anti-Moshe Rabbeinu
3) sat in the middle who
didn't take a stand.
The Yismach Moshe claimed that he belonged to the group who didn't take a stand. The Yeitav Lev Zt"l asked
the Yismach Moshe "How is it possible for him not to
belong to the group defending Moshe Rabbeinu"
The Yismach Moshe answered him that
the Machlokes Korach was not as simple as people think. It was way more
complicated and
above of the Yeitav Lev Zt"l understanding, therefore he can't reveal to him the depth of this
Machlokes.
However, since he didn't
belong to the group defending Moshe Rabbeinu (wanting to keep out of
Machlokes)
it was decreed on him that
his descendants will be involved in Machlokes.
The Yeitav Lev Zt"l confirmed it and
said about himself that even if he would be all by himself in a forest he would
end up
getting into a
fight with the trees in the forest.
