said, "Had Yosef asked only once to be remembered he would not
have been punished one year jail. Asking once to remember is 讛砖转讚诇讜转 and not
a 讞住专讜谉 讘讘讟讞讜谉.
Since Yosef was wrong
for only repeating and not for the first time so why was he punished
for two years instead of one year?
We can learn from here that
by asking a second time proves that retroactively asking the
first time was also not because of 讛砖转讚诇讜转 but lack of 讘讟讞讜谉."
The Midrash Rabah on Shemot, chapter 7, teaches
ReplyDeletethat Yosef was sentenced to ten years in prison
because he spoke against ten of his brothers.
For each brother he spoke against, he was punished with
an entire year in prison -- not a modern American prison,
where prisoners have rights, but an ancient Egyptian prison, where prisoners have no rights. Think before you speak!
