Would the Chasam Sofer say such a thing ?

In all of Shas,Chanuka is only mentioned a total  eight times in the 

Mishna. Most of them are indirect references to Chanuka.

There is almost not a single Halacha of how to light Chanuka

licht etc.

The Sefer Chut Hameshulosh claims that the Chasam Sofer

said the reason Rebbie almost totally avoided  mention of 

Hilchos Chanuka  in the Mishna was because Rebbie was a 

descendant of Malchus Bais David and upset with the 

Chashmonaim taking  over the Melucha. (see Ramban Breishis 49:10)

There are others who claim Chas V'Sholom the Chasam Sofer would have ever said this on Rebbie Hakadosh.
