Crying on Shabbos Rosh Hashana

 

         Crying on Shabbos Rosh Hashana


According to the Shulchan Aruch, one may not cry on
Shabbos unless he derives pleasure from crying.

According to the Gaon one should not cry on Rosh Hashana.


In the Shul, I davened as a young child every single adult (men & women)
cried bitterly on R.H..& Yom Kippur. They were all Holocaust survivors,
