Poor Berel

As a result, Berl's Sukah in Lakewood became פסול                               Poor Berl Unprocessed flax cloth (גידולי קרקע) is kosher סכך provided it isn't מקבל טומאה. Fabric smaller than 3X3 טפחים or if it belongs to a poor man the שיעור gets reduced to the size of smaller than 3X3 אצבעות is not מקבל טומאה. Berl covered his Sukah with flax cloths all smaller than 3X3 טפחים but larger than 3X3 אצבעות. Since it's not מקבל טומאה it's a Kosher Sukah. Berl invested all his money in a packet of diamonds  that were shipped to him uninsured. When the plane crashed he became a poor man. For a poor man, fabric larger than 3X3 אצבעות is מקבל טומאה therefore the Sukah becomes now a סוכה פסולה.
