                    Women dancing for Rashbi's Simcha

Originally, on Lag Baomer, they had dancing for both men & women (separately)

Until a למדן came along and made the women stop dancing.
The women were upset with him for doing so.

This למדן fell asleep and Rashbi came to him in a dream and
told him "because you disturbed my Simcha by holding back
the women from dancing 
therefore at your  Simcha the same
will happen to you."
Shortly afterward, he married off his son who died at his own
wedding.

Since Rashbi was so upset when they stopped
women from dancing at his Tzyoon, perhaps, we
should reintroduce it again and have women
dance there on Lag Baomer.

ה' אייר & מאה שערים-אתחלתא דגאולה



 ה' אייר & מאה שערים-אתחלתא דגאולה
 
Only after the arrival of the תלמידי בעל שם טוב and 
תלמידי הגר"א were there Ashkenazi Yidden in Eretz Yisroel. 
Until then there were only a handful Ashkenazi
Yidden in E.Yisroel. The vast majority were the Sefardim. 


The Sefardim felt threatened and intimidated 
with the arrival of the Ashkenazi Yidden.
They were upset with the Ashkenazim for not willing to follow 
Minhag Eretz Yisroel and adopt the בית יוסף as the
מרא דארעא ישראל (Rav of E.Yisroel) 

Ashkenazim continued with the פסקים of the רמ"א
and kept up with their own Minhagim.

As the Ashkenazi community kept growing, so too did the animosity between the Sefardim and Ashkenazim. 

Sefardim controlled the Tzedakos, Shechita, 
Mikvaos, Chevra Kadisha, etc. This created major difficulties 
for the Ashkenazim. They suffered tremendously 
being beholden & dependent on their Sefardic brethren. 

The Chasam Sofer even mentions this in the Teshuvos 
how one of his Talmidim described the suffering 
under the Sefardim.

Harav Meir Auerbach Zt"l (1815-1878) Mechaber of the
אמרי בינה the רב ראשי לאשכנזים was the one who decided to
brake away from the Sefardi Kehilla.

He established a separate Ashkenazi Kehilla. The first thing
he managed to do was a separate Ashkenazi שחיטה.

He also managed to take control of the funds from Chutz Laaretz.
This boosted the income for the Ashkenazim because they sent
out their own שד"ר.   (Meshulachim- (שלוחי דרבנן

R Meir died at a young age of 62 years old. He didn't manage
to complete the separation totally. They were still dependent
on the Sefardim for the Chevra Kadisha.


R Shmuel Salant Zt"l the successor of R. Meir was the one
who established an Ashkenazi Chevra Kadisha. By having
their own Chevra Kadisha, the total separation between
the Sefardim & Ashkenazim was complete.

The Ashkenazim termed this occasion as the אתחלתא דגאולה
which started by R Meir Auerbach and completed by
R Shmuel Salant. This was the beginning of the redemption
of being dependent on the Sefardim.

R Meir Auerbach was one of the founders of מאה שערים
& The Bikur Cholim Hospital. מאה שערים was one of the
first neighborhoods outside the walled city.
R. Meir's Yahrzeit is today ה' אייר זי"ע

Hence, the connection of מאה שערים, ה' אייר & אתחלתא דגאולה

                        ובחקתיהם לא תלכו

The  (*חכמת אדם(פ"ט:א defends Yidden from (כל ארץ אשכנז) western Europe who are dressed in modern clothing similar to the Goyim.

The חכמת אדם claims that since in Ashkenaz they never
instituted a dress code to be different than the Goyim, therefore
there is no Issur of ובחקתיהם לא תלכו** by keeping their original
dress, which is similar to the Goyim.

However, Yidden who originate from countries where they did institute a dress code that is different than the Goyim
(regardless of the reason) they may not wear clothing similar
to the Goyim. Those who do wear such clothing are
עובר on ובחקתיהם לא תלכו and are חייב מלקות.

The חכמת אדם writes that when the Russian Government i
ntroduced into law requiring all to dress in modern
clothing , the Gaon held that it was יהרג ועל יעבור.

Halle On Yom Haatzmut

Since Herzel published his pamphlet " Der Judenstaat" in 1896, until today 70 years after the establishment of the Zionist State, the Zionist have constantly been out to destroy Yiddishkeit. They wanted to eradicate the Torah and its followers. They keep trying to שמד ח"ו Gantz Klal Yisroel and turn them ככל הגוים ר"ל.

Hashem turned the tables on them. Instead of Zionist stopping us from learning Torah they became the largest financial supporters of Torah. They spend billions of Shekalim to build Chadorim, Yeshivos Kollelim &  Bais Yakovs.
They also spend billions to support those who learn Torah.

Over the past two thousand years,(maybe even beyond)  there have never been so much Torah learning anywhere in the world as it is done now in Eretz Yisroel. There never was such a large ציבור of Talmidei Chachamim, Bnei Torah & Shomrei Torah Umitzvohs.

The Zionist try to make it difficult to remain a Torah observant Yid, yet they pay hundreds of millions Shekalim for Rabonim, Dayanim, Mashgichim, Shuls, & Mikvaos in every city & town in the country alleviating the financial burden of Torah observant Yidden.

In every country in the world the גזירת שמד today is rampant. Intermarriage is between 70%-85% in every country except in the Zionist State where intermarriage is less than 2-3% (still too many) As much as the Zionist try to שמד Klal Yisroel, The  Ribono Shel Olam made sure their wishes won't happen.

Despite the Zionist claim of כחי ועוצם ידי, etc. especially during the six-day war, the whole בעלי תשובה movement we know of today started during the war. For the past few thousand years
there have never been so many בעלי תשובה as we have today.

We would have even way more בעלי תשובה if we would try harder to make sure that the non-Frum shouldn't have reason to hate us.

Instead of the Zionist turning the Frum into non-Frum the opposite is happening, the non-Frum become Frum.

Ben Yehudah, created the modern עברית so that the
Frum Yidden will give up their old fashion religion and become a modern non-Frum society with their own modern language.
Today the most used language to learn Torah is עברית. In most Chadorim, Yeshivos, Kollelim & Bais Yakovs the Shiurim & Schmussen are given in עברית. Chavrusos in the
Bais Midrash argue & shout at each other in the language that was supposed to keep them out of the Bais Midrash.

Yes, it's true it is not yet a perfect world out there, but when was the last time that it was.


Perhaps, we should be saying Hallel not only on Yom Haatzmaut but every single day in the year. We should praise and thank Hashem for turning the tables and instead of Torah ח"ו being eradicated it is flourishing despite the Zionist attempts.

Perhaps, according to ר' אמי, we would have to investigate why even these צדיקים וגדולים died, so we should refrain from doing the same sins they did.

Since the מסקנת הגמרא argues on ר' אמי and holds that Man can die without having any sins, we have to assume on each and everyone who dies that he died without sin and we have no right to ask why did he die.

After the 1929 massacre of the Chevron Yeshiva R.A.Y. Kook Zt"l said that perhaps it happened because the Bachurim didn't dress and look like Yeshiva Bachurim should look like. They were clean-shaven, fancy hairstyles, light color short jackets, and modern hats.

The Mirrer Mashgiach R Yeruchem Levovitz Zt"l angrily protested against finding faults of others and claimed this to be עצת היצר and waste of the cause. Doing so won't cause anyone to do Teshuva.
We need to look only at our own faults and this way we can do Teshuva.

According to בעלי דקדוק  see (מנחת שי (תהלים פו:ב, 

In the Tefillah of אתה יצרת*  at  " ולפי שחטאנו -- חרבה עירנו "
You should make sure to pronounce the Reish of
Chorevo with a שוא נע (Chorevo). 

By pronouncing the Reish with a  שוא נח (silent)
(Chorvo) the translation changes to "Because we sinned --
you should (ח"ו ) destroy our city". (imperative)

The actual translation is, "Because we sinned our city was
destroyed" (past tense).

ובנה ירושלים עיר הקדש במהרה בימינו

of מתו אחיו מחמת מילה. His two younger brothers died when they had their Bris.
How is this possible? 


Answer:

ראובן is a triplet born Friday night בין השמשות. His two younger brothers were born on שבת proper. Reuvain's Bris gets postponed to Sunday while his two younger brothers have it done בזמנו on Shabbos.

The Sefer צאינה וראינה, a collection of beautiful Midrashim
in Yiddish, authored by R.Yakov b Yitzchok Ashkenazi
(1550-1624) was geared specifically for women.

It was the most popular Sefer until about 80 years ago,
(after Siddur & Tehillim)  Yiddish speaking women possessed.

Most women acquired their Torah knowledge from their
mothers & the צאינה וראינה.

Illiterate women had a "Zogerrin" who would read the
צאינה וראינה for such​ ​groups of women.

The Chofetz Chaim in a letter promoting the Bais Yakov
Schools writes, there is a need for  Bais Yakov because
many women stopped reading the צאינה וראינה on Shabbos.

There is a well known Midrash quoted by many but is
not found in any Midrash we have today. The first and
only Mokor (source) for it is the צאינה וראינה

"Originally ברית מילה was performed with a sharpened
stone the way Tziporah performed the ברית on her son.

Because the metal helmet on Golias's head allowed
the rock  to penetrate and hit Golias's forehead,
therefore metal was rewarded and from then on
all בריתות​ are performed  with metal knives."
