Riddled with Purim Riddles

 

1)                                   RIDDLE What was Haman Ben Hamdasa's father's name?   answer The ירושלמי יבמות פ"ב ה"ו says, בן המדתא does not mean the son of המדתא It means המן, the evil person, a descendant of Hamdasa, the evil person, who lived about 13 generations before המן. Between the various נוסחיות in מס' סופרים פי"ג & the תרגום שני we have 4 possible names for Haman's  father כוזא - ביזא- סרח- סדא We have a similar concept in the פיוט לפרשת זכר from the קליר where he writes אץ קוצץ בן קוצץ  עמלק was not the son of עשיו but a descendant of his evil great grandfather עשיו. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2) What does  יום העצמאות have in common with this coming Shabbos? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) What other Yom Tov do we wear masks & eat Haman Tashen?
