Davening at קבר רחל, Are you allowed?

 
The ספר גשר החיים כ"ט:י"א writes:

"R. Shmuel Salant זצ"ל was מקפיד* 

not to Daven in the inner room

 of קבר רחל, so as not be עובר the 

איסור of לועג לרש**"



* There are others (מנח"א) who were מתיר to Daven there

**Mishlei 17:5  He who mocks the poor affronts his Maker-
The dead can't perform Mitzvohs therefore we may not
perform Mitzvohs in their vicinity. as not to mock them.
