When Rav Pinchas Hirshprung Zt"l met with the Satmarer Rebbe R.Yoilish Teitelbaum Zt"l, he said to the Rebbe,

"The גמרא says When ר' שמעון ב"ר יוחאי & his son ר' אלעזר came
out the first time from the cave, and saw people were busy working their fields, They gazed at the fields and burnt them down.

They were told by the בת קול to go back into the cave. They stayed
on for an additional 12 months. After coming out the second time
there was no more destruction.

It seems that by increasing in learning (the additional 12 months)
one can eliminate the need & desire to practice קנאות."

Perhaps this was the reason R. Chaim Kanievski Zt"l never
burned down the tractors building the light rail in Yerushalayim.
