Happy New Year - Gut Yom Tov - Happy Chanukah

Happy New Year - Gut Yom Tov - Happy Chanukah

1) The only time Rosh Hashana is mentioned
in all of תנ"ך, is in יחזקאל מ
But it is on the 10th of Tishrei (יו"כ)

2) The יוסף אומץ
תתרט and other Poskim write to greet
each other on מוצאי יו"כ when leaving Shul or arriving
home, by saying "GUT YOM TOV" (not Gut Voch)

3)
The מגן אברהם  (O.Ch 625) quotes from
the מהרי"ל, not to fast or say תחנון between
Yom Kippur and Sukkos, because they are ימי שמחה
We commemorate the
חנוכת המזבח in the time of
Shlomo Hamelech.
