The Three Mitzvos

 

Parshas Hashavua שלח          The ב"ח (O.Ch.625) writes that there are three* Mitzvohs  that require special כוונה to also know and have in mind the reason why Hashem commanded us to do this Mitzvah   1) Mitzvahs סוכה because it says למען ידעו דורותכם 2) Mitzvahs תפילין because it  says למען תהיה תורת ה' בפיך 3) Mitzvahs ציצית  because it says למען תזכרו   *The פרי מגדים adds פדיון הבן because it  says - על כן אני זובח לה' כל פטר רחם   Harav Shmuel Wosner zt"l writes the reason the ב"ח doesn't include פדיון הבן is  because the Torah only gives the reason to answer the son who asked מה זאת and not that we need to have in mind when performing  the Mitzvah why he gave us the Mitzvah of פדיון הבן.
