אלהא דמאיר עניני
According to the אגדות המהרש"א (Avoda Zarah 18a) the
correct answer is (e)
The מהרש"א says, "It
can’t refer to the Tanna R.Meir* because he was still alive. In his
lifetime** he would not use
his own name attached to
Hashem's name".
The מהרש"א says “ מאיר is
not a name. It is a word, המאיר who lights up the world.
(המאיר לארץ ) Hashem who lights up the world (present) should help
me
Or, "אלהא דמאיר" Hashem
who lit up for us during the dark days of the Greeks withthe נס of
Chanukah”. (past) He shall bring Nissim and save me.

That's probably why we say it when looking for lost items - "עד שהקב״ה מאיר את עיניהם"
